When you visit Harry Brown’s Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM, full-service dealership at 1747 Grant St in Faribault, you could have a hard time imagining what the dealership looked like over 50 years ago when Harry Brown was just getting started in the automotive business. It was 1968, and the world was different in many ways. Harry Brown had just made his way home after serving in the Naval Reserve, and he was excited to see what life had in store for him.

What he found waiting for him was a small two-room building that looked like an old log cabin and was sitting at the intersection of Highways 21 and 60. But he knew that he wanted to work in and support this friendly community and ensure they had access to the automotive services they would need at the moment and far into the future. The vision he had in those days is not likely to have included what today is a facility covering 10 acres and 500 vehicles. But that was created thanks to the teamwork and dedication of three generations of the Brown family.
